Sourdough Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup – 1 cup of warm tap water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • butter

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients together.
  2. Add sourdough starter, milk, egg, and oil. Mix well, adding in warm water until a pancake batter texture. Do not overmix, there can be lumps. Batter will still be thick after it sits.
  3. Heat up frying pan, grease with butter, and cook pancakes. They will fluff up a lot after flipped.
  4. Enjoy!
