Cream of Mushroom

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 226 g mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup onion
  • 6 tbsp flour
  • S&P
  • 4 cups broth
  • 1 cup cream

Instructions

  1. Slice mushrooms and chop onion.
  2. Sauté in butter.
  3. Whisk together flour, spices, 1/2 the broth.
  4. Add to mushrooms with remaining broth.
  5. Bring to boil, cook & stir until thickened (2 min).
  6. Add cream.
  7. Simmer 15 minutes.
  8. Slurp!

Tips

  1. Cut mushrooms all different sizes. While they shrink somewhat, they don’t deteriorate much.
